NETWORK FINALS:  THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL adjusted to 4.5, 0.2 lower than last week’s final number.  Elsewhere, THE GOOD PLACE and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW each gained 0.1.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  Fox Sports 1’s coverage of the Dodgers vs. Cubs BASEBALL PLAYOFFS game was dominant on Thursday cable at 1.98.  NFL Network’s share of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL fell 0.22 from last week to 1.26.  It appears that coverage of the Al Smith dinner (with let’s-call-them comedy routines by both presidential candidates) pushed a variety of news programming into the Top 10, with CNN peaking in the 9PM hour at 0.87, and Fox News at 0.46 in the same hour (and CNN even winning in total viewers, 3.9M vs. 3.6M).  A&E’s 60 DAYS IN lost 0.08 to 0.45, and BEHIND BARS was down 0.04 to 0.28.  On Lifetime, PROJECT RUNWAY was steady at 0.45, and new spin-off FASHION STARTUP lost most of that lead-in, premiering at 0.18.  On Food Network, BEAT BOBBY FLAY gained 0.05 to 0.37, and CHOPPED was up 0.03 to 0.34.  On HGTV, HOUSE HUNTERS INTL ticked up to 0.29, and HOUSE HUNTERS was at 0.28. Bravo’s MILLION DOLLAR LISTING added a tick to 0.28. Tru’s IMPRACTICAL JOKERS fell 0.02 to 0.28.  On We, GROWING UP HIP-HOP was at 0.25, and MONEY POWER RESPECT was at 0.15.  FX’s BETTER THINGS jumped 0.07 to 0.22.  USA’s FALLING WATER lost 0.03 to 0.16.  TLC’s THOSE WHO CAN’T dropped 0.02 to 0.10.  MTV’s ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE GAME SHOW also fell 0.02 to 0.10, and ACTING OUT was at 0.07.  POP’s IMPACT WRESTLING ticked up to 0.08.
