NETWORK FINALS:  AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS and the CHADWICK BOSEMAN TRIBUTE special gained 0.1 in final numbers, while LOVE ISLAND and the reruns of LAST MAN STANDING and DUNCANVILLE lost the same.  In addition, CW posted an MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS RECAP special at 0.1.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  The MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS were, as usual, simulcast across virtually all Viacom services (this year including CW), and it rated as follows:  on MTV itself, it dropped 0.30 from last year, when it aired on a Monday, to 0.60 (the pre-show was down 0.15 to 0.19), while it was at 0.11 on VH1 (down 0.24), 0.12 on Nickelodeon/Nick At Nite (down 0.04/0.06, which was split between Nick and Nick-At-Nite), 0.06 on Paramount (down 0.09), 0.09 on Comedy Central (down 0.07), 0.07 on BET (down 0.02), 0.04 on MTV 2 (down 0.02), 0.05 on TV Land (down 0.01), 0.04 on CMT (down 0.01), 0.02/45K on MTV Classic (down 0.03), 0.01/56K on Pop, 0.01/52K on BET Her (steady), and zero/9K on Logo (down 0.01).

The highest-rated scripted series on Sunday cable was Adult Swim’s YOLO: CRYSTAL FANTASY at 0.28/0.26, compared to last week’s 0.23/0.18.  On HBO, LAST WEEK TONIGHT ticked down to 0.20, LOVECRAFT COUNTRY dropped 0.05 to 0.18, and THE VOW was up 0.02 to 0.09.  Starz’s P-VALLEY returned from a week off and halted its upward trajectory, down 0.04 to 0.16.  Syfy’s WYNONNA EARP ticked up to 0.09.  Showtime’s entire line-up was off the chart:  THE CIRCUS steady at 0.02/204K, the premiere of LOVE FRAUD at 0.01/135K, and WE HUNT TOGETHER down 0.01 to 0.01/104K.

Sunday cable overall was led by TLC’s 90 DAY FIANCE, down 0.03 to 0.95 (the after-show was down 0.06 to 0.35), with DARCEY & STACEY steady at 0.49.  ESPN’s NBA PLAYOFFS games were at 0.90/0.63, and TNT’s game was at 0.79.  ESPN’s MLB SUNDAY NIGHT game was at 0.28.  Bravo’s REAL HOUSEWIVES OF THE POTOMAC dipped 0.03 to 0.26.  On Food Network, CHOPPED was steady at 0.25, and BEAT BOBBY FLAY was up 0.03 to 0.25.  On HGTV, RENOVATION INC lost 0.03 to 0.24, CARIBBEAN LIFE was at 0.24/0.23 compared to last week’s 0.26/0.25, and MEXICO LIFE was at 0.22/0.20 compared to last week’s 0.26.  On Discovery, ALASKAN BUSH PEOPLE slipped 0.02 to 0.24, EXPEDITION TO THE EDGE ticked down to 0.10, and NAKED & AFRAID: FOREIGN was at 0.07.  On ID, EVIL LIVES HERE ticked down to 0.23, and SIGNS OF A PSYCHOPATH was down 0.04 to 0.20.  NBC Sports Net’s NHL PLAYOFFS games were at 0.21/0.11.
