NETWORK FINALS:  SUNDAY  NIGHT FOOTBALL adjusted to 6.6, up an impressive 2 points from last week’s final.  Other football-related adjustments reduced THE SIMPSONS, BOB’S BURGERS and 60 MINUTES by 0.1.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  It’s a fact of ratings life in 2019 that when a network starts pointing at its ratings for rerun airings and (usually unsubstantiated) streaming numbers, the initial linear airing is weak.  That’s the case for WATCHMAN, intended as a very big swing for HBO and off to a middling 0.25 start.  That’s better than the 0.15 SUCCESSION premiere, but WATCHMAN was supposed to be a much more mainstream project than SUCCESSION.  A more meaningful comparison is the 0.77 start for WESTWORLD.  The night’s other premiere was Starz’s LEAVENWORTH at 0.04.  

AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD dropped a tenth to 1.19 (another new low), and TALKING DEAD was down 0.14 to 0.35.  Adult Swim’s ROBOT CHICKEN was at 0.35/0.35 compared to last week’s 0.35/0.33.  USA’s MR ROBOT was steady at 0.10.  FX’s THE WEEKLY held at 0.08.  On Showtime, THE CIRCUS gained 0.02 to 0.05, a super-sized episode of THE AFFAIR ticked up to 0.05, and the season finale of ON BECOMING A GOD IN CENTRAL FLORIDA rose 0.02 to 0.03/179K.  

TLC’s 90 DAY FIANCE led unscripted, up 0.08 to 0.87, with UNEXPECTED up 0.02 to 0.42.  On E!, KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS climbed 0.06 to 0.50, and E! TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORY ticked down to 0.18.  Bravo’s MARRIED TO MEDICINE was up 0.04 to 0.28.  On Food Network, HALLOWEEN WARS dropped 0.09 to 0.25, and HAUNTED GINGERBREAD SHOWDOWN was down 0.08 to 0.18.  NBC Sports Net’s PREMIER LEAGUE match was at 0.25.  On Discovery, ALASKA: THE LAST FRONTIER ticked up to 0.21, RIVER OF NO RETURN was steady at 0.17, and WHY WE HATE was down 0.04 to 0.06.  MTV’s RIDICULOUSNESS gained 0.03 to 0.20.  On ID, AMERICAN MONSTER was at 0.20, compared to last week’s 0.26/0.18.  HGTV’s line-up was led by ISLAND LIFE at 0.20/0.18.
