All that promotion and even a countdown, and that’s all I Am Frankie got? Rude!

    • ChrisM

Accept the fact that it’s really not a good show. The cast is OK, but the writing and premise are just bad. Even the 12-34 rating is nothing to write about about.

Do you watch, and like, everything that is Nickelodeon, or Disney? I’m just curious, but it’s hard for me to believe that.

      • Amaury

We get it. You don’t like it.

And yes, I like all live-action on Nickelodeon and Disney Channel, because I’m not constantly looking for the tiniest details to make a fuss about.

        • JAY

I Am Frankie is a wonderful, entertaining show for people of all ages. It’s alright if you don’t enjoy it, but other people do, so you can’t just assume it’s bad. I love it. The story and characters are great. If it wasn’t, it wouldn have gotten a second season.

You need to be less vocal about your false statements, ChrisM.

          • ChrisM

The show is cheap to produce and succeeds with its target audience of teenagers – girls in particular. That’s the most likely reason it was renewed. However, those teenage girls are far less than what Andi Mack gets.

An opinion isn’t a false statement.

The opposite of what you stared is true as well. A lot of “rude” people are not watching because, for them, it’s not a good show, or they just do not care for it.

We all watch shows that are good. We watch those that are bad. We do not watch shows that are good. We do not watch shows that are bad. I guess it depends on the degree of how good or bad those shows are and if anything else about them appeals to us or not.

I had a simple reason to ask Amaury my question. I, more or less, got my answer – thank you. I was not looking to criticize, be criticized, or engage in a debate.

    • JAY

It did okay for its time slot, probably the best average ratings beside Henry Danger. I can see Nick keeping these 2 shows for a few years to come because of this,

    • Owen

Those ratings actually aren’t that bad

  2. Destiny

Better Call Saul did well despite being up against the football. Lodge 49 continues to meet expectations lol.

    • Amaury

AMC really does not hold lead-ins well, does it?

BCS: 1.40 million -> L49: 0.36 million, a whopping 1.04 million difference. Not even Nickelodeon and Disney Channel’s lead-outs drop *that* much, and Nickelodeon doesn’t hold lead-ins as well as Disney Channel does.

I think the highest difference I’ve seen is around 0.36 million. Like with Henry Danger and Star Falls here: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-4-28-2018.html

      • Destiny

It’s what happens when you air two shows that aren’t compatible with one another. AMC doesn’t really have any decent pairings either, it just relys on The Walking Dead & FTWD to help prop up low rated shows.

    • Ryan

The 18-49 figure ties its series-low from two weeks ago, and that 1.4 million is now a series-low in viewers. Hoping to see an upward trend in the ratings in the show’s final couple seasons, but not looking all that good right now. Overall, 0.39 is nothing to sniff at, but this downward trajectory is worrying.

      • Destiny

I’ve always viewed Saul as a five/six season show and I think AMC will give it that. The drops may seem harsh but if you look at everything else on AMC the show is still doing really well.

        • Ryan

Yeah, overall the show is doing actually really well when you compare it to the state of the AMC line-up, and there’s no danger that it will be cancelled. I do agree with you about it being a 5-6 season show – I believe I read somewhere that Vince Gilligan wanted a similar number of episodes as Breaking Bad, which would put ‘Saul’ at around 60-62.

I’m sorta just curious whether or not the show may experience an upward trajectory in its final seasons as it approaches more and more BB territory. I would’ve ventured yes, but I’m not so sure anymore…

          • Destiny

I think any sort of uptick in viewers will depend on how AMC schedules & promotes the show. If they do well by Saul I think the potential is there for a notable uptick during its final season. There’s a lot more buzz surrounding the show than there is for FTWD, Badlands, Preacher etc too.

          • Ryan

I think you’re right. August & early-September are dead-zones for cable, and it’s now the third timeslot change for the show in 4 seasons. I personally preferred it in the Spring, but I think Summer would make sense as well as that’s where BB aired its last couple seasons. This current season I don’t feel was promoted hardly at all – I didn’t even find out about the airdate until a week prior.

          • Destiny

Yikes. So AMC promoted the show THAT badly? I think the fans deserve a lot of praise for turning up in huge numbers if that’s the case. And I agree, if AMC can schedule Season 6 in early June It would do much better.

And thanks for your other comment, I really appreciate it. I’m not one for drama, but It seems every now and then a random hater appears just to act like an ass and hate on my posts. The first post that person made to me was a few weeks ago and it was equally as bad. It’s kinda creepy when someone post stalks you and tries to imply you’ve said something you haven’t. But whatever. Most of the time, like 99.9 percent of the time the site is argument free.

          • Ryan

            No worries! 🙂

There’s always gonna be those people who browse the site for a few weeks and then magically become the expert at all things Nielsen haha

          • Destiny

            The cringe is real lol.

  3. Ryan

Ratings for ‘Sacred Sites’ (Smithsonian, 8pm), and ‘X Company’ (Ovation, 10pm)? Thanks!

  4. Scott

Lock it In FS1 at 430 PM. GMA Day 1pm ABC. Thanks

  5. JAY

Andi Mack is probably gonna conclude entirely by mid next year. I predict that it’s season 3 premiere, “The Boys are Back”, will be an okay 1.10M or so, but I’m guessing season 3 will average around 1.17M. Raven’s Home will undoubtedly get a whopping average of 1.20M as season 2 concludes. Chances are 50/50 for a season 3.

    • Destiny

Three seasons seems to be the magic number for these shows right?

      • Amaury

Yes. Actors on Disney Channel are contracted for three seasons, with two seasons being 100% guaranteed and three seasons depending on other factors. A fourth season on Disney Channel (Austin & Ally, Liv and Maddie, etc.) is considered a bonus.

Now, because of how different Andi Mack is to the other series—for one, it’s a family comedy-drama, not a straight comedy—with its tackling of more serious topics, like Cyrus’ gay storyline or Jonah’s panic attacks, I could see it getting a fourth season and possibly even breaking the barrier and getting a fifth season and maybe even beyond.

Actually, I learned not too long ago that Disney Channel apparently initially renewed Wizards of Waverly Place for a fifth season, but canceled the renewal after David Henrie wanted to move on. I think that’s why we got the Alex vs. Alex film instead, which David Henrie didn’t star in. Him being a prominent main cast, they couldn’t really continue the series without him. Unlike, say, Jake Paul on Bizaardvark. Also main cast, but him leaving—or, rather, being fired—did not affect the series in any way since the focus is on Madison Hu and Olivia Rodrigo’s characters.

  6. Mark

Do you have ratings for the Rest in Power simulcast on Paramount Network?

  7. Jeff

Has Giuliana Rancic’s Return to E! News made any impact on the show’s ratings?
