I’ll take that for Stuck in the Middle and Bizaardvark. Yay! But yikes! Even Nickelodeon animation is being affected now.
Nickelodeon is doing well with Spongebob & Loud House. They’re both consistently near the top of the charts on Friday.
You enjoy coming up with excuses, don’t you?
Both shows are steady for now, but you never know if one ends up having the total misfortune of a steep drop. Slow drops will extend your shelf life, no doubt about that. However, the inevitable will eventually happen if you can’t maintain the numbers for the earlier episodes. Never forget that!
As for Spongebob, what works in Spongebob’s favor is an old saying from the original Vice City iteration of Flash FM where a voiceover will sometimes say “We tell you what’s good. Then we pl(repeated noises of the pl)ay it ’til you like it.” In other words, Nickelodeon bias that will prevent Spongebob from having a steep ratings drop. But remember, Nickelodeon’s bias won’t save the show forever as the inevitable will happen.
The Louds don’t have that luxury. I mean, sure Nickelodeon is supportive of The Louds, but not to the degree of Spongebob (see the last couple of Nickelodeon kids choice awards). Nickelodeon would definitely back The Louds off of a cliff in order to save Spongebob if they have to. The Louds are lucky that the Savino scandal didn’t cause them to have a steep drop, but the current ratings for this season while steady, are worse than the first two seasons (the recent Fandom Pains episode is the lowest rated episode to date) so far. Don’t forget the real test, the post Savino era (and possibly the upcoming toyline though I think people are complete retards if they think failed toylines is the main and ONLY reason for a show’s failure). With the changes the Hollywood types will make to soothe their own egos instead of doing what’s best for business (see the new season of Reboot), I wouldn’t be surprised if Savino’s successor is “Disney” to Savino’s “George Lucas: The Washed Up Years”.
Such a shame that a successor that can IMPROVE the show to a genre that would really mean something instead of this god awful Being Ian/Johnny Test hybrid won’t happen since this generation of retards aren’t going adjust to a “Jonny Quest” or “M.A.S.K.” type show. The Loud children deserve better. So does Bobby and Ronnie-Anne Santiago with their upcoming show, as Nickelodeon will most likely make the same stupid mistake of taking the “Joey” route (like The Cleveland Show and The Amazing Spiez did) of continuing the formula of the show you spun off from rather than the “Frasier” route of reinventing yourself from the show you spun off from. Heck, I’d rather see edits made to such great cartoons like “The Magician” and “The Centurions” where you take an episode and find a scene with a bunch of random no name civilians (like Laura Branigan’s dead husband) and replace them with The Louds (or anybody else noteworthy for that matter such as “Guilty Gear’s” Elphelt Valentine). Better to have a cameo (with no dialogue) on a great cartoon than being on a cartoon who’s formula is drying up fast (with way too many 10-minute episodes) and is starting to make the huge mistake of making real world references (political or not such as that “Teacher’s Union” episode) instead of focusing on crafting a good FICTIONAL story that the “Galaxy Rangers” and “Swat Kats” of the world does. People talk about the “edgyness” of having Lily swear, the relationship of Clyde’s dads or Luna’s love for another woman, I say forget all that and mimic the 1964 season of “Jonny Quest” instead! Not just is that more edgier than what The Loud House is doing (by today’s messed up standards), but it’s a better formula too.
When various fanfics such as Trustworthy (which features a scene straight out of The Magician episodes “Cold Sweat” and “Multi-Flames”) and even “sinful” ones like The Loud Comic and Forbidden Desires are better than the actual episodes, that’s quite the problem. Better hope that they don’t become too well known…

…the “Leave A Comment reply box”.
Seriously, did you flop in kindergarten or something?
No, the response just appeared in the comment sidebar on the mainpage. I don’t watch either show, it was just an offhand comment made to a regular who is a fan of both networks. I just didn’t expect a huge wall of text made by someone who has mistaken me for someone who cares.
AoS matched the most recent 18-49 rating of Designated Survivor, and on a Friday too. OUAT lost around 100k viewers from its preliminary number.
Why do all the CBS shows do so much better with 50+ ?
CBS just attracts a really old audience. It’s not unusual to see a median age of 60+ with their shows.
Taken’s awful performance at 8 pm should further solidify a renewal for Blindspot! Also Dynasty topping the 700k mark is probably a mini-bump from the renewal announcement.
