SHOWBUZZDAILY’s Top 100 Thursday Cable Originals (& Network Update): 9.3.2015

Check out our searchable table for the top 100 cable originals at the bottom of the post.

NETWORK UPDATE:  Because of the many NFL PRESEASON preemptions, comparisons are to last Thursday’s finals rather than this morning’s preliminary numbers.  ABC:  after an 0.5 BEYOND THE TANK rerun (down 0.3 from last week’s), the season finale of MISTRESSES was down 0.2up 0.1 to 0.6, and the season finale of ROOKIE BLUE was up 0.2 to 0.7.  CBS:  after sitcom reruns at 1.0/0.8 (down from last week’s 1.5/1.1), BIG BROTHER was down 0.1 to 2.0, and UNDER THE DOME was also down 0.1 to 0.8.  NBC:  The season finale of FOOD FIGHTERS fell 0.4 to 0.5, and DATELINE was down 0.3 to 0.8.  FOX:  BOOM dropped 0.2 to 0.5, and the BONES rerun was steady at 0.5.  CW:  BEAUTY AND THE BEAST was listed as a rerun, and it and the ARROW rerun were at 0.2.

CABLE HIGHLIGHTS:  Some of those network rating drops may have been attributable to the start of COLLEGE FOOTBALL season, which provided the night’s top 2 ratings, a 1.37 for ESPN and a 1.17 for Fox Sports Net.  (An NFL Network NFL PRESEASON game was at 0.31.)  MTV’s TEEN MOM slipped 0.02 to 0.98, while ONE BAD CHOICE, back at 11PM after last week’s airing a half-hour later, climbed 0.13 to 0.32.  Tru’s IMPRACTICAL JOKERS leaped by three-tenths to 0.80, with an 11PM episode at 0.32.  On Lifetime, PROJECT RUNWAY increased by 0.14 to 0.66.  We’s BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES was up 0.06 to 0.46, while LA HAIR lost a tick to 0.39.  On Syfy, WWE dropped 0.13 to 0.52, DOMINION fell 0.04 to 0.17, and GEEKS WHO DRINK dropped a hundredth to 0.10.  Nickelodeon’s ALVINNN AND THE CHIPMUNKS!!! hit the Top 10 at 0.46.  On History, MOUNTAIN MEN fell 0.08 to 0.42.  A&E’s BEYOND SCARED STRAIGHT and BEHIND BARS were each at 0.36, respectively down 0.15 and 0.14.  GRACELAND (USA) lost 0.05 to 0.25.  On FX, SEX&DRUGS&ROCK&ROLL tumbled 0.16 to 0.24, and MARRIED dropped 0.13 to 0.19.  Comedy Central’s REVIEW gained a tick to 0.20.  On IFC, DOCUMENTARY NOW crashed by 0.06 to 0.02, with 107K total viewers, and COMEDY BANG BANG was even worse, down the entirety of last week’s 0.04 to a dead zero, with 44K total viewers.  BIG BROTHER AFTER DARK (POP) was at 0.05/113K.
