>The biggest day of the television season is here.  The highest-rated show of the year airs at 6:30 pm ET and more people will be watching television tonight in general than any night of the year.  In between all those $3.5 million 30-second commercials and NBC on-air promos, an actual game will be played.  Our forecast — both Mitch’s are going for the New York Giants.

     Mitch Metcalf:  New York Giants 27 New England Patriots 24
     Mitch Salem: New York Giants 37 New England Patriots 30

Be sure to read our ratings predictions for the night after the Super Bowl, the all-important Monday with The Voice and the debut of Smash — will it be a Super Bowl-fueled new beginning for NBC or a crash back to reality?
