3 of the 4 major broadcast networks averaged under a 1.5 rating last week, a number that not so long ago meant instant cancellation.  CBS has been head-and-shoulders above the other networks for the past 2 weeks, but that’s because of the event programming of the How I Met Your Mother finale and the NCAA Tournament Finals.  Last week (5 days Same Day, 2 days overnights) the latter propelled CBS to 2.14 (up 0.01 from the week before).  It was followed by 1.45 for ABC (down 0.18), 1.44 for FOX (up 0.2), 1.41 for NBC (down 0.07) and 0.34 for CW (down 0.06, still airing mostly reruns for the week).

The season to date numbers stayed mostly as is:

NBC:  2.46 (up 19% from the Olympics-less last season, down 0.04 from last week)

FOX:  2.16 (up just 2% from last year despite having the Super Bowl, down 0.02 from last week)

CBS:  1.93 (down 23% from last year, when it had the Super Bowl, up 0.01 from last week)

ABC:  1.65 (down 10% from last year, steady with last week)

CW:  0.52 (down 1% from last year, down 0.01 from last week)
