>Through this weekend, the major action on the Worldwide Box Office chart is happening at the bottom of the Top 10.  The Smurfs continue to show an amazing amount of momentum, almost hitting $300 million overseas.  Next week it should be able to pass Thor and move into the #9 spot for all films released in North America in 2011.


Rise of the Planet of the Apes also continues to grow overseas, although the overseas number is just now passing the domestic number.  We don’t expect a large overseas multiple for Apes.

Keep checking back for the latest Pathway to Profit feature coming Monday.  We will breakdown our major profit/loss categories based on worldwide revenue and evaluate each major studio’s slate in terms of these categories.
