SEASON TO DATE through nine full weeks (60 nights of official ratings and 3 nights of adjusted fast nationals through Sunday, November 25, 2012):

NBC is averaging a 2.84 adult 18-49 rating in prime time (up 23% from the same period last year).

CBS is in second place with a 2.29 (down 20%).

FOX is in third place with a 2.16 (down 29%).

ABC is in fourth with a 2.14 (down 13%).

Collectively, the four networks total a 9.43 rating (down 12% from 10.69 the same period last fall).

The CW, technically a broadcast network, is averaging a 0.57 in prime so far this season (down 20%).

THE WEEK.  For the just completed Thanksgiving week  (November 19-25, 2012), NBC is pacing toward an excellent 3.20 rating (the highest-rated week of the year thanks to two strong NFL games on Thursday and Sunday nights).

ABC is headed for a second-place 2.11 weekly average.

FOX continues to stumble — this week a 1.96 rating (the third time the network was under a 2 rating in the last four weeks).  The week would have been a complete disaster had it not been for the late afternoon Sunday NFL game spilling into primetime.

CBS is looking at a fourth-place 1.85 rating for the week (easily its worst showing of the year thanks to an abundance of repeats).
