Apparently CBS Evening News saw its largest audience since Katie Couric’s debut (15 years ago) on Wednesday night.
A little weird considering their ratings in prime time on the same day.
And NBC at 6:30pm ??
Maybe Mitch can help us with data for that entire day. Because it will definitely be fascinating to see hour-by-hour breakdown for all the networks (broadcast & cable)…
According to a CNN press release, these are the numbers between 2:30 and 6:30 PM on Wednesday:
CNN – 8,965
Fox News – 5,740
MSNBC – 5,590
ABC – 4,853
CBS – 3,695
But no data for NBC coverage on that day and no data for their Nightly News.

Why did the CBS news give it all on Wednesday? Weird.
